We are delighted here at The Transatlantic Communications and Light Gathering to announce that a tour will take place on Valentia Island’s Highest Point
Walk or drive to the top of Geokaun Mountain, one of the Ring of Kerry’s highest points. Located in Valentia Island, one of the most westerly parts of Ireland and indeed Europe. Perhaps you like mountain climbing, hill walking or maybe you just like to take a leisurely stroll to see what nature has to offer.
Learn about the social and cultural history of the area while enjoying the spectacular views. At the peak there are three viewing areas :
- The Miner’s view,
- The Shepherd’s View
- Carraig na Circe.
